viking tid-bit.

urban dictionary definition of viking:
hard core warriors... superior to pirates. equal to ninjas.

thanks urban dictionary for being such an educational source.
though, i do have to agree with this definition.

this is my softball team: eclipse. isn't this the coolest picture ever? they photoshopped all of our singles together.. to make a team picture. i want to learn how to do stuff like this.

i love playing with this team. they are de best. but... i am super missing my girls. i want high school ball to start.

dixie survival 101

i made one of these for everyone as we went to dixie. If you would like a spirit sack.. just holler. you can fill it yourself.. cause it took me a while. the best part is the shakers. we put in water bottles. and aquarium rocks. and it created noise makers. best invention, i'd say.

p.s. if you have suggestions for
school year activities. or themes
or even if a strange idea just
strikes your fancy. please.
comment. comment. comment.

5 hours at the school? easy.

Like I said. i live at the school. today, from the hours of 9-2:30 I, lifted, had a meeting, and cleared out the back room. it is quite the miracle. the floor is spotless and we had at least 4 loads of trash. we threw out junk that had been there since 1916. i feel accomplished. just wait for the pictures after we have decorated it.
its official: sophomore day is going to rock the hollywood theme. i'm basically dying until it gets here.
and apparently the district has a party for all the teachers? can teachers party? i guess we'll see.
You see that boy, #13? His names Mickell Walker. he was in my homeward and just got back from a mission. i went to his farewell yesterday in fact. apparently he was a lax legend for the vikings. and is going to play at BYU. kind of a big deal.

I also found this one, titled: Ryan Moon for the goal.

ryan rocks.

Go viking lacrosse.

reestablishment.

Quite a big word. I understand.
As you can see the blog is, yet again, being redone. but because of the fact that i have a miniscule amount of followers so i am mainly writing to myself, i feel that i can change it often. no one will get fussy. I am hoping to write more regularly with this newly constructed blog so that people may find it a source of entertainment. but, whether it does or not i write for my own pleasure anyway. so i might as well write about what i know best. the vikings.

pleasant grove high consumes the majority of my life. multiple times a day i am either brainstorming, researching or writing down things for the senior high. i also dont believe i could count the amount of hours i spend there. if all goes according to plan i will be sleeping in the tunnels under the stage just to make it easier for myself. my parents already claim i have moved out. but it is all for a good cause, and i enjoy it.

i am mainly going to be writing my personal point of view on going ons at the high school. none of it will be negative, because then that would mean that there were negative comments i could make. i am here to tell you they are non-existant. everything from here until next year at this time are going to be insanely amazing. i cant wait for senior year to start (as i expressed in my previous post.) and i can't wait for things to get rolling. not to fret, you will still get stories from my personal life. because i just enjoy sharing.

first status update: a new principal is making his way to viking country. his name is Tim Brantley. i have only had the opportunity to meet him once. (I'm crossing my fingers this will change tomorrow.) but he seems like an awesome guy! i have heard nothing but good from everyone who has come in contact with him. I am sure he has big plans for us and don't you worry, student council has big plans for him.
we also are getting ALL new counselors to go along with our brand new system skyward. it may be bumpy getting used to it all at first but im sure we will get into the groove.
Sophomore day is rolling out quite nicely. I kind of wish i was fresh from junior high again, just so i could experience all the fun that they are going to have.

school countdown?: one. month. =31 days.

warning: one month until our lives are taken over.

WHAT.
school is in a month from today. i thought it would be right to do a post dedicated to this quickly approaching date.

cons: homework. what? i am going to be soo busy anyways. with all the student council responsibility, softball, school spirit and classes i am going to be swamped. i have a feeling sleep is going to take the back seat this year.
drama. as much as you try to avoid it, this is high school we are talking about people.
i am just fired up for the opportunity to wake up at 6:15 in the morning. and even worse: we have to get cute at that time. the sun isn' t even up yet.
we have to be ready with our sophomore day, welcome week, and year plan. in one month.
i'm kinda freaking out. just a little.

pros: social. all the way. I am having a hard time without being surrounded by my peers. its also really hard to plan events for everyone when you can't see them. it feels quite pointless.
I am stoked for student council this year. it is going to be bomb-diggity. i really couldn't have asked for better people! also softball is going to kill. we have awesome girls who have played together forever.
games. i am so excited for football and basketball games. we are seniors and we are going to get there hours early. we better have so much pride in our school this year. i have a feeling that our year, totally will.
i am peeing my pants to get my dancing shoes on. party it up. all. year. long. that should be my motto.
we are going to make memories. like the years past.

I'm mostly excited for school to start. but believe me, I'm willing to wait.

question: i'm kinda considering making this
like a behind the scenes of student council blog,
where i just talk about ideas and what we're doing
and such. what do you think?

creeper anyone?

last night i had quite the traumatic experience. i will further explain:

Lets set up this scene; wednesday night and i just got done playing with some friends. its about 12:20 because I'm usually a bit late. I'm a party animal. Okay, so I was half asleep. After 10 my body shuts down and i just pretend I'm a party animal. Whitney and I decided to carpool because gas prices are outrageous these days. We cruise out front of my house where my mom has left the front door open for me. I run up to the door with my skippy run like I've practiced since I was an adolescent. When whitney just happens to break my little routine. She yelled my name sounding quite frantic. I ran back to the car expecting her to tell me that i dropped my phone or left some change. These were her exact words: watch out for that creepy guy in the car across the street. He's just staring at your house... [pause] go to your front door. run.
my heart was all the sudden pounding in my head. i was freaked. I went in and alerted my parents to the situation. we continued to check out there, and he left 15 minutes later. after getting out of his car to do, who knows what. I am not too proud to admit i slept on the floor of my parents room until 3 in the morning.

It was probably nothing. but i do believe something fishy is going on at the house across the street. its empty and if that alone isnt freaky enough, there are always different people there.
I feel like I'm in a horror movie.

my facebook status::

dear friends,

i am alive, and breathing. in the past 3 weeks i have cliff jumped from 30ft, battled people on the softball field, braved a haunted house in the forest mountains of new york, caught a firefly, watched the irish go 9-1 in cooperstown and stood in the sacred grove.
i should be ready for a break, you say? bring it on st. george. i'm ready to party.
until friday, dont forget me,
kati.

haha, love it.
my summer has been quite the adventure.
