do you hear the people sing? i did. three times.

I cannot seem to get this production out of the crevices of my brain. I. Loved. It. I am always humming the tunes, reciting the lines, asking keegan questions. And I often find myself driving slower in the car just so I can finish the song before I get home. It is magical. In more ways than one. So, Thank you. for enlightening me with the hardships of the french revolution. I wish I could be friends with every single one of those kids at my high school. I especially enjoy the ones I already am friends with. anyways. thanks.

love, kati

so I am totally fascinated with this Doppleganger week on facebook. I knew instantly who I would choose. Though I don't quite agree with it.

The strange thing is, as I was looking through these pictures I noticed that my cousin kind of resembles miley cyrus....

and of course, we all knew that my dad is a Achey Brakey Billy Ray look alike:

so maybe not quite. but pretty close.
I am so glad to know my family resembles the disney pop diva of the generation.

here comes the sun.

oh wait... its gone again.

i just arrived home from my much needed break to Florida. I have piles of math homework that need my attention but as usual, i love to procrastinate the day away. so i will just show some pictures.

(Dad was taking the picture.)

tire tracks. this implies that, yes, you
can drive on the exotic beach in daytona.

we did some swimming,

rode on some high thrill roller coasters,

and a vacation would not be complete
without balloon animals twisted from the
venezuelan balloon lady.

and, of course, we missed keegan dearly. it was strange having a family trip with out him. But he does a stellar job in the Les Miserables at the high school. If you haven't seen it yet, i highly reccommend it. PG has got talent.

oh.. but i am quite the lucky girl. next weekend i got picked up to go play a softball tournament in st. george!!
here comes the sun? oh yes. i am counting until i escape once more.

hello? [hello, hello, hello, hello.]

yes people. I understand that my blog has been dormant for quite some time. I apologize, if that is truly what you are seeking.

its 2010.
interesting.
how about some resolutions?
lets make this official.

The big [four] resolutions of Kati Briggs
beginning on the day of January 1st in the year 2010.

1. [Budget. ]
I have a job, so maybe i should really start keeping track of where that money is going and exactly how much i have to spend. Therefore, becoming better at paying tithing.
2. [weekly temple attendance.]
I may have to build up to this one. It has been a goal for a long time, but now that it is written down for the world to see.. maybe I will be more successful.
3. [Be more thoughtful.]
Apparently this just doesn't come naturally to me. I see others bringing people cookies, or just spotting someone who is having a bad day. or even just making a note to mention someones birthday. I seek ambitiously to be as these people.
4. [finish the book of mormon.]
I have just recently finished the book of mormon, allowing me to be involved in our young women BOM retreat. Yet, I read it very quickly and didn't quite stop to think about applying it. By the end, I was really enjoying the history of it all. So this year I am going to read it in its entirety, while pondering and understanding.

what is a resolution anyway? Don't worry, I looked it up just for you:
res⋅o⋅lu⋅tion [rez-uh-loo-shuhn]
-a formal expression of opinion or intention made
-the mental state or quality of being resolved or resolute; firmness of purpose.

So there you have it. my formal, resolute intentions.

and now for the good part.
