This series is insanely captivating. I read each book in an average of two days. (all three over UEA break. Thus, the week was fabulous.) I am such an avid reader. Once I get started in a book I literally cannot let it go. This was definitely not an exception. When Twilight first came out I vowed never again to pick up a vampire wannabe book. nothing could possibly match it right? right. but... I didn't consider that some could get pretty darn close.
I saw it in the store and even though I had sworn my love to bella and edward.. I had to admit, the back cover sounded promising. So I gave it a try. Blue bloods is an in-depth tale of eternal vampires who take on different physical shells, while their blood is the living element that goes through cycles. As they reach the age of 15 they start into their "sunset years" where they make the change from human to vampire, recovering their past memories from all their past lives. Schyler Van Alen (pronounced skyler.) finds herself to belong to this group of blue bloods. Where before, she just assumed they were the snobby rich people of New York. Ends up that they are all together, immortal, unkillable beings.
Yet, they soon find that that is not quite the case. Aggie Carondolet, a fellow vampire is found dead, drained of all her blood. There is something preying on their kind. While amidst all this trouble there is of course... the classic, twisted evil love plot. That would take far too long to explain. But, Jack Force.. the babe of all babes, is finally paying attention to Schyler. Attention that could ruin them both. For eternity.
Got you yet? ugh it is such a great series and guess what? I have yet to finish it. So even if I wanted to spoil it I couldn't. The fourth and final book just came out two weeks ago. The Van Alen Legacy. I am dying for it. I just ordered it online.. and I am awaiting this Wednesday when I will run home from school. And there it will be....... waiting for me.
